IM/PACTOS,
13th Nov — 4th Dec

Barcelona welcomes Chilean artist and psychologist
Patrizia Bordoni Acuña with Im/Pactos, an exhibition that brings together a collection of installations and photographs, that explore the fragile balance of relational commitments within romantic and emotional relationships.

At the heart of Im/Pactos lies a tension between intimacy and violence. These are “impacts” that strike at freedom - invisible blows, sharp ruptures, and darkly humorous wounds that echo like shots within the fragile arena of love. Within this dynamic, the feminine and masculine appear estranged, enacting master and slave roles in a cruel choreography of heartbreak.

Patrizia Bordoni Acuña

Chilean psychologist and visual artist, Patrizia Bordoni Acuña explores the depths of human emotion and the complexities of the inner world through a multidisciplinary practice that spans collage, bronze sculpture, printmaking, and ink drawing. Her artistic language emerges from a psychological Iens - reflecting on intimacy, aff ection, contradiction, and the shared experiences that define human existence.

She launched the book Im/Pactos in 2024, which featured a selection of 75 photographs of these art works. The selection in Barcelona 2025 exhibition consists of 35 photographic prints and 7 installations from her series Im/Pacts, a body of installations that confronts the theme of violence within romantic and emotional relationships. Selected from aver 150 pieces created between 2017 onwards to date, the works trace a journey through both personal and collective memory.

Through the installations, Bordoni Acuña constructs a symbolic and timeless narrative, capturing the emotional residue of lived experience. Each piece stands as a dreamlike yet tangible image, an imprint of the stories seen and felt by someone devoted to listening - to others and to the silent echoes within.
