Pablo Peñalba
«VÍCTIMAS DEL HEDONISMO»

12 June — 3 July

Pablo Peñalba is currently living and working in Spain. He has a background in graphic design and photography at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). Higher degree in illustration at Llotja School of Arts and Crafts in Barcelona. Pablo began his artistic journey in the field of comics, stimulated by their characters and dynamic scenes loaded with super action. His personal evolution, and his move to Europe in 2001, led him to continue his artistic path in painting and photography. Currently he is researching and experimenting with the uses and opportunities that new technologies such as blockchain and AI can offer to painting and illustration.

About the Art

Peñalba’s work is an analytical look at human beings and their behavior. His oil paintings can be considered mirrors of the inner corners of each of us. Sometimes showing places of thought, emotions, behaviors or experiences, that some people might prefer to remain hidden. Aware that each individual has something to offer, in exchange for what he would like to obtain as a reward. The Argentine artist focuses his attention on this free trade between people, highlighting it with thick layers of material and vigorous brushstrokes. To show with subtlety, and sometimes with sarcastic humor, what the price of each of us is. Pablo has exhibited in galleries and entities across home country, Europe and the United States.
